Our team

With a focus on helping nonprofits make a difference in the lives of the individuals and families they serve, Dean and Associates has brought together a professional staff with experience and skills in all areas of nonprofit management and fundraising. Members of the team have solid track records of success in everything from capital campaigns and major gifts to annual and planned giving to board, volunteer and staff development and training and much more.

Lynne T. Dean, CFRE
Founder and Managing Associate Lynne T. Dean has conducted successful fundraising initiatives and campaigns for hospitals, higher education, arts and cultural organizations including museums, human services agencies and a broad range of environmental and faith-based organizations. She was a key part of the $600 million More Than Houses campaign of Habitat for Humanity International and worked with Habitat affiliates in Dallas, Denver and Spokane.
Lynne has also shared her experiences by writing for nonprofit and fundraising publications including CharityChannel.com, Successful Fundraising, Major Gifts Report, Texas Nonprofits. An award-winning journalist, she has served as reporter, feature writer and editor of several newspapers and magazines.
As a past and current board member of a number of nonprofit organizations, Lynne has held leadership roles in fundraising from both sides.

Awards

2010 International Association of Business Communicators Southern Region Silver Quill Awards Competition for publications for San Antonio and San Marcos nonprofit organizations.

Collaborating with Janice Campbell of The Very Idea and Gay Lynne Rouse, Dean and Associates garnered top awards for campaign publications developed for Morningside Ministries of San Antonio and the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center in San Marcos.

The Building Hope Campaign, Phase II brochure for HCWC received the Award of Excellence in the Publications Category and an Award of Merit in the Writing Category.

The Building a Legacy of Care campaign brochure for Morningside Ministries received the Award of Excellence in the Writing Category.

Dean and Associates served as campaign consultants for the two organizations.

IABC is a professional network of 15,000 business communication professionals in more than 80 countries. The Southern Region includes 28 chapters located in 14 U.S. States and the Caribbean.

The IABC Southern Region Silver Quill Awards Competition showcases excellent work of its members. Judges across the country evaluate entries on strategy, effectiveness and creativity.
